The IRMA Law & Policy Forum is a regular hub for IRMA Members & Partners to share updates related to law and policy frameworks, develop and implement strategies to integrate best practices in IRMA Standards into law and policy frameworks, and inform the IRMA Standards and system.

Elisa Tonda, Chief of Branch, and Rongbao Jiang, Industry Lead, UN Environment Programme (UNEP) Industry and Economy Division, will provide updates on implementation of the UN Environment Assembly (UNEA) resolution on strengthening international cooperation on the environmentally sound management of minerals and metals, with a focus on UNEP’s work on circularity.

IRMA Members across sectors will share their experience integrating circular economy approaches. This discussion will inform collaborative work between UNEP and IRMA on environmental dimensions of responsible mining.
