Assessment scope
The Andrade Mine started operations in 1994 and employs more than 700 people as of 2023. Its 294 hectares include an open pit, crusher, mineral processing, tailings storage, and waste rock disposal. Of the 26 chapters in the IRMA Standard for Responsible Mining, the operator suggests Chapter 2.2 Free, Prior and Informed Consent, 2.4 Resettlement, 3.4 Mining in Conflict-Affected/High-Risk Areas, 3.6 Artisanal and Small-Scale Mining, 4.7 Cyanide Management, and 4.8 Mercury Management do not apply. The independent audit firm will verify.
